"Telephone Set for Local Connections" (TKMS) is a six-point telephone switchboard serving communication between managers and services in rural or inside small manufacturing enterprises and institutions. Power supply is obtained from the AC (127-220 volts).

The TKMS is designed to work in indoor conditions.

The term that the manual uses for the "apparatus box" is simply "power supply unit" (блок питания), and that is indeed what the diagram shows in the boxed part in the upper right. The power supply provides rectified power for the bell, talk battery, and AC signaling current for lamps.

The lower left is the telephone operator circuit, very similar to that of the KD6/KS6, with just a small resistor rearrangement. However, the circuit is used for local intercom operation with talk DC provided by the power supply.
